I’ll admit to being funny. I love talking to people who can tell a good story, especially funny stories about themselves. (Facial expressions, hand gestures and voice changes are a must!) My bad addiction is "people watching", and listening in on "loud conversations", especially the arguments of strangers. Aside from being funny, I'm genuinely happy, kind, caring, and compassionate. I think outside the box. I get away with breaking the rules. I make mean people be nice to me and little kids idolize me. Haha.
I love to be around family and friends whether it's at family parties; attending charity events; volunteering at community events; going to clubs, lounges, comedy clubs, "after midnight" burrito runs to the Mission; or just sitting around flipping channels. Board games and Wii Nights are also fun. Squeezing time to watch the cage fighting and Muay Thai matches of my friends and my instructors is also another favorite thing to do.
I love listening to all types of music. I mostly listen to Live 105 when I'm driving, or at work. (Yes, I’ve been in a mosh pit once, watching the Foo Fighters at Golden Gate Park. It took almost 2 hours to get out of.) Songs to get me grooving: Disco, 80's Pop, New Wave, House, Dance Hall Reggae, R and B, Hip-Hop, Elevator Music, and nonstop Music Medleys that they play at Asian Groceries.
I joined this site because I'll be moving to Asia in the next few months for family business and personal matters. A super long vacation partying up and relaxing by the beach thanks to my grandparents. Hopefully, nothing long term, because I love San Francisco. I'm not exactly interested in connecting with anyone non-Asian, unless you live in a major city in the United States, and you actually have Asian friends, not neighbors, and not co-workers. I don't care if your heart has been burned by a non-Asian woman, that you like Asian food, or that you're bored and lonely.
My Ideal Person:
I'm looking for someone roughly the same age with the same charismatic appeal and the same positive outlook on life; someone well rounded, caring, creative, respectable, responsible, helps out in their community, loves to volunteer, loves kids, smart, street smart, super nerd (even better), and used to urban living who doesn't mind my large collection of family and friends. My family eats well, so that should compensate for the numbers. My ancestors were Spanish and Portuguese which should explain my family's fondness for large parties, drinking and dancing. In fact, my relatives over 60 won't attend events if there's no dancing involved. Meriendas are basically snacks or drinks in between breakfast, lunch, dinner, or after dinner.
I prefer to meet someone who has traveled, or who has lived in Asia; someone who can stomach vendor foods like fish balls and chicken feet who never gets tired of dim sum, congee, pho or sushi; someone who can survive the city night life of 6pm-6am, or the wild jungles of Asia (mosquitoes. no running water, sleeping on floor mats).
